Timothy Girard

Tim Girard, CLU®, President of R.K. Tongue Co., Inc., has been active in the insurance industry since 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola College in Maryland and was commissioned as an Army Officer, serving eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Following college, Tim began his career in the banking industry with NationsBank. His exposure to the insurance business led him to join R.K. Tongue Co. as a sales representative, where he focused on serving professionals and small business owners by helping them identify and manage their insurance needs.

Today, Tim is responsible for overseeing the Maryland sales and service operations for both the Professional Markets Group and the Worksite Marketing Group nationally. He is licensed in Property & Casualty as well as Life & Health insurance and has lectured regionally on a variety of risk management and insurance-related topics.

Tim resides in Forest Hill, Maryland, with his wife and three sons. Outside of work, he is passionate about giving back to the community and actively volunteers and coaches with Maryland Special Olympics.
