Tongue for 35 years and is a deep source font of knowledge around the office. What do you enjoy most about your job?
“Although I’ve been here quite some time, I enjoy tackling each task and continuing to learn each day.”
What inspires/motivates you?
“I’m inspired by my family and friends and what motivates me is that I continue to grow and learn each day.”
How do you like to unwind after work?
“I love reading so if I’m not able to open a book, I can listen to an audible version or watch some of my guilty pleasure reality shows and disconnect from work.”
Of all the various jobs you have had at R.K. Tongue, what was (is) your favorite? – (Edward Gerner, Owner)
“I won’t say I have a favorite job, I just enjoy what I do on the worksite side of the house probably because I worked there the most and we all work well together to get the job done and with Employee Benefits it’s a change from the norm and I continue to learn each day.”
What’s a memorable experience you’ve had at R.K. Tongue or working in insurance?
“One of my most memorable memories at RKT was being here to celebrate 100 years and seeing current and former coworkers in attendance. Another memorable moment was having everyone back in the office after covid and Aflac was able to have a catered luncheon for us in the office.”
If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
“I would have dinner with my Mom see would tell the best stories from her childhood, she was an awesome cook, and I still need to gather some of those recipes from her I didn’t keep up with while watching her prepare them lol.”
